Lydia Frizzell Promoted to General Counsel and Chief of Staff

Farmers & Merchants Bank is proud to announce the promotion of Lydia Frizzell to general counsel and chief of staff.

Frizzell joined Farmers and Merchants Bank in October 2019 as assistant general counsel, bringing her wealth of knowledge and a fresh perspective. Two years later, she was promoted to general counsel, a role allowing her to oversee the bank’s legal department while shaping policies that benefit the organization’s continued growth. Her rise through the ranks is a testament to her strong work ethic and leadership skills.

In her time at Farmers and Merchants Bank, Frizzell has made significant contributions, including refining the bank’s retirement plans and improving corporate governance. These efforts have not only positioned the bank for future success but also demonstrated her commitment to both employees and customers.

Frizzell was born and raised in the farming community of DeWitt, Arkansas. With roots in a farming family and deep connections to her hometown, Frizzell embodies the values of Farmers and Merchants Bank – a commitment to community, integrity, and leadership.

Though she initially dreamed of becoming an agriculture attorney after earning her law degree from the William H. Bowen School of Law at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, Frizzell found her calling in the financial sector.

Outside of her work, Frizzell is a devoted wife, mother, and active church member and is deeply involved in her community.
