Helms is an alumnus of Stuttgart High School and Louisiana State University, where he earned a degree in business management. Helms joined the Farmers and Merchants Bank team in 2018 as a lender. Prior to working in the financial industry, Helms worked in the agricultural sector for chemical and seed companies.
Helms is an avid sportsman with a passion for duck and deer hunting. In his free time, he also enjoys horse racing and playing golf.
