Farmers & Merchants Bank Appoints Brent Morgan as Regional President, Central Arkansas
Farmers & Merchants Bank announced the appointment of Brent Morgan as Regional President for Central Arkansas, strengthening the bank’s leadership team as it expands its presence in the Little Rock market.
In his new role, Morgan will provide strategic leadership across the bank’s Central Arkansas operations, supporting businesses, professionals and community members throughout the region. Morgan is based in Little Rock.
Morgan brings more than 25 years of banking experience to the position. Before joining Farmers & Merchants Bank, he spent over 15 years at Bank OZK, where he served as SVP Commercial Banking, Little Rock Market President, President–Central Arkansas Division, and President–Commercial Banking South Arkansas, also leading the bank’s Business Aviation Group from 2017 to 2024. He has held commercial lending roles at BancorpSouth from 2002 to 2011 and at Metropolitan National Bank from 1999 to 2002.

A native of Little Rock and a graduate of Catholic High School (Class of 1994), Morgan earned a Bachelor of Science in Finance and Banking in 1998 and an MBA in 1999, both from the University of Arkansas. He graduated magna cum laude from the Barret School of Banking in Memphis in 2008.
Morgan has a long history of community leadership and civic involvement. He served 10 years on the Finance Committee of the Ronald McDonald House of Central Arkansas and two terms on the Baptist Health Foundation Board, where he remains an advisory board member. He also served a four-year term on the Arkansas State Board of Finance from 2021 to 2025. Along with his wife, Melissa, he chaired the 2026 Central Arkansas Heart Ball benefitting the American Heart Association. He is a member of Pulaski Heights United Methodist Church.
