T. Gary Hudson Named SW Graduate Banking School Chairman

Farmers & Merchants Bank and The Bank of Fayetteville are honored to announce T. Gary Hudson, a current member of our board of directors, has been named the new chairman of the board for the SW Graduate School of Banking (SWGSB) at SMU Cox in Dallas, Texas. Hudson previously served as president and CEO of Farmers & Merchants Bank. Hudson was named chairman during the SWGSB board of trustees meeting in February.
Hudson practiced law in DeWitt before becoming vice president and trust officer of Farmers & Merchants Bank in December 1980. In 1988, he became president and CEO of DeWitt Bank and Trust Company until returning to Farmers & Merchants Bank in 2002 as executive vice president and board of directors member when the bank opened its DeWitt branch. He was named president and CEO in January 2009.
Hudson’s career includes leadership roles in civic, business, and educational organizations. He served on the Arkansas State Banking Board for 10 years and was chairman twice.
Hudson is a graduate of Arkansas State University, the University of Arkansas School of Law, and the SW Graduate School of Banking at SMU Cox.
