Tyler Spoon Named Community President for The Bank of Fayetteville
Farmers & Merchants Bank and The Bank of Fayetteville are pleased to announce the promotion of Tyler Spoon to Community President in the Fayetteville region.
The Bank of Fayetteville hired the former Arkansas Razorback baseball player as a Commercial Loan Officer in October 2023.
Spoon began his banking career in Fayetteville after retiring in 2018 from Major League Baseball, where he played for the Boston Red Sox for nearly three years.
“I lived in many places across the country during my baseball career, and I feel so blessed to be able to work, live and help people in the greatest place on earth,” Spoon said. “Northwest Arkansas is an amazing, fast-growing community and I’m honored to be a part of its growth.”
As community president, Spoon will oversee retail and lending operations in the Northwest Arkansas market. A former mortgage loan officer, he had more than 10 years of banking experience when he joined Farmers and Merchants in 2023.
Founded in 1945 and rooted in Arkansas, Farmers and Merchants is celebrating 80 years of growing together, including the eight branches operating as The Bank of Fayetteville.
