Welcome Back Home: Vinessa Barrow Joins Farmers & Merchants Bank as Trust Officer

Farmers & Merchants Bank is pleased to welcome Vinessa Barrow to the team as Trust Officer, based in Mountain Home. Vinessa brings experience in trust administration and wealth services, along with a strong commitment to client care and community service.

A Mountain Home native, Vinessa returns to her hometown after serving as a Private Wealth Strategist at Simmons Bank in Jonesboro, where she managed a diverse portfolio of trust, agency and IRA accounts. In that role, she worked closely with clients, beneficiaries and professional advisors to ensure fiduciary compliance and thoughtful alignment with each client’s goals.

“This transition is a full-circle moment for my family and me,” Vinessa said. “I am grateful for the opportunity to return to my hometown and serve the community that helped shape who I am. I look forward to building relationships and helping clients create a lasting impact by aligning their financial planning with the values and causes that are important to them.”

Vinessa’s background also includes nonprofit leadership and public policy experience. She was interim director of The Reach Center in Mountain Home, a nonprofit that provides homeless services, resource referrals, low-income classes and mental health services. Earlier roles with the Association of Arkansas Counties and as a research fellow with The Center for Racial Justice and Criminal Justice Reform strengthened her skills in legal research, regulatory matters and advocacy.

Vinessa holds a Master of Arts in Legal Studies with honors from the William H. Bowen School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts in General Studies in Social and Health Sciences from the University of Central Arkansas. She and her husband, Dr. Reid Barrow, are the parents of two sons, Brooks and Rowan.
