Farmers & Merchants Bank Welcomes D. Kirk McDonald to Board of Directors

Farmers & Merchants Bankshares, Inc., is pleased to announce the appointment of D. Kirk McDonald, President and Chief Operating Officer of Zachry Exploration LLC, to its Board of Directors.

McDonald brings decades of experience and a deep understanding of both the banking and energy industries. His appointment represents a strategic step forward for Farmers and Merchants Bank as it continues to grow and serve communities across Arkansas.

McDonald’s career journey is both impressive and diverse. He began with a successful 17-year tenure at Bank of America, holding leadership roles in corporate lending and credit administration. In 2000, he joined Zachry, where he has played a pivotal role in the company’s growth and expansion across its market sectors.

A proud native of Stuttgart, Arkansas, McDonald earned both a B.S.B.A. and an M.B.A. from the University of Arkansas. His strong leadership background includes years of service on prestigious boards such as the Texas Business Hall of Fame Foundation and the World Affairs Council of San Antonio. His family’s longstanding connection to Farmers and Merchants Bank adds a personal touch to this appointment, as they have been involved with the bank since its founding.
